Pandora on Blackberry   Leave a comment

Got an email today announcing that Pandora is now available for the blackberry…. uh… why??

Maybe I will warm up to the idea, but I don’t get it.

From http://www.pandora.com/blackberry:

Pandora for BlackBerry
It’s a new era for radio. Personalized, mobile, and free.

Pandora Radio is your own FREE personalized radio now available to stream music on your BlackBerry. Just start with the name of one of your favorite artists, songs or classical composers and Pandora will create a “station” that plays their music and more music like it.

Already a Pandora user? Even easier. Just sign in. Pandora on BlackBerry is fully integrated with Pandora on the web. Enjoy all your existing stations – and create new ones right from your BlackBerry.

Online identity and www.namechk.com

This is a pretty cool site. http://namechk.com You go there, put in your online identity – such as bobnewhart, and it will check, um, “the cool” websites and see if that name is registered.

What’s the point? Well, if you use the same nickname on multiple systems, maybe you want to make sure that no one else uses it. So, you then know which sites you aren’t registered on, and off you go to register…

Also, if you are like lots of people, you’ve got accounts you forgot about. So, this will jogg your memory and you will know where you (unless someone else registered your online name) have accounts.

Finally, it’s a pretty darned good listing of the top picks of “web 2.0” websites… you can just click on the name to go to the site instead of having to rack your brain trying to remember those site names…
